Whether it’s storms that pop-up on a summer afternoon or a system that drenches the roads during your morning commute, rain can mess with your day.
One researcher at the University of South Florida is working to see how Tampa Bay residents use weather radar. Weather radars show you where showers and storms are located, and access to these radars has increased.
Radar displays can be found on TV, like Max Defender 8 on News Channel 8, on the internet, and on phone apps.
Knowing where the rain is can help make decisions for your job and family life. Graduate Teaching Assistant and Ph.D. candidate, Michelle Saunders, has created a survey to collect data necessary for her dissertation.
If you’re 18 or older and use weather radars, you can take the survey here.
You can also download the Max Defender 8 app to your phone to check the radar anywhere.
