A disturbance in the Bahamas heading this way will kick up our rain chances for Thursday & Friday.
Storm Team 8 Meteorologists say the tropical moisture associated with this feature will enhance our rain chances for Thursday and Friday.
“A month or two from now, this area of low pressure would be of great interest – thankfully here on the first day of May, this one is just a rainmaker,” said Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Ian Oliver.
The National Hurricane Center gives this disturbance a low 20% chance of development over the next five days. Any possible development would occur after the system moves off to our northeast and out into the western Atlantic.
May 1 marks 30 days until the start of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season. Experts have predicted a below-average season with 13 named storms and five hurricanes.
