High risk for rip currents off coast of Pinellas County through Sunday morning


PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – 8 On Your Side has a warning if you plan on being near the Gulf of Mexico the next few days.

There is a high risk for rip currents off Pinellas County Thursday night through Sunday morning.

Rip currents are powerful currents of water that can sweep even the strongest swimmer away from shore.
