Typical summer weather continues for the Bay Area with sunny mornings and scattered afternoon storms. Overall rain chances will remain slightly below normal through Thursday with drier air in the mid-levels.

For Wednesday and Thursday this pattern will continue with the best chance for storms over inland areas and rain chances at just 10% along the coast ranging to 50% inland.

The pattern will change Friday and into the weekend with more moisture gathering ahead of a weak front over the Southeast.

With westerly steering winds and deep moisture present, showers will likely start in the early morning along the coast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. During the afternoon those storms will move inland and coastal areas should dry out.

Rain chances increasing to 60% by the weekend.

In the Tropics, the pattern remains quiet. The National Hurricane Center says development is not expected over the next 5 days. Over the next ten days the best chance for development will be the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
