TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today started out lovely, with cool mid 60s. We warmed up nicely into the mid 80s for the afternoon under partly cloudy skies. We saw a few inland showers that should fade after sunset and the skies will partially clear overnight. We should cool down nicely into the mid to upper 60s overnight.

Friday starts off cool and lovely i the upper 60s. We will warm up into the mid 80s under partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will warm into the mid 80s for the afternoon hours. Expect a few scattered showers to pop up along the sea breeze, in our coastal counties during the early afternoon and over our inland counties during the later afternoon into the evening.

It will be mostly dry this weekend, but you’ll start to notice that extra humidity. Partly cloudy skies expected with just 10% rain chances Saturday and Sunday. Highs return to the upper 80s, which is close to average for mid-May.

Most of next week will be hot, humid and mostly dry with highs near 90 degrees each day.
