TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Today was warmer and humid. A few showers fired up along the east coast of Florida and are being pushed across the state into our area this evening.

Chances for a passing shower peak between 6-8:00 p.m. After that we begin to dry out under partly cloudy skies overnight.

Overnight temperatures will sink down into the upper 60s and low 70s overnight while remaining dry. but humid.

It should be a warm and mostly dry Halloween weekend ahead. Daytime costumes should be made to keep you cool with highs in the mid 80s. There’s just a 10% chance of an afternoon shower. The evenings should be mild and comfortable with just a few clouds around.

We’re still in the mid 80s on Halloween, and the skies shouldn’t be too spooky for trick-or-treaters. Evening temperatures will be in the 70s as the kids get the candy.

By the end of next week we will enjoy slightly lower humidity as drier are moves across the state.

Next week stays mostly dry and warm. Humidity gradually decreases, but highs remain the mid 80s.

In the tropics, we’re still watching two areas for potential development. We aren’t too concerned about the one in the Atlantic, but the disturbance in the Caribbean has a better chance to organize. Most models take the system west and don’t turn it north, but we will keep an eye on it.
