Wave Watch: Small Craft Advisory in effect through Sunday morning


TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Marine conditions can change quickly across the Tampa Bay area. So 8 On Your Side’s meteorologist Amanda Holly is tracking your Wave Watch for Tampa Bay, Coastal Pinellas, Suncoast and the Nature Coast.

The Weekend: Winds will stay elevated through Saturday prompting the Small Craft Advisory to continue through Sunday morning. Winds will gust up to 25 knots but generally be 10-20 knots. Seas will be 3-5 feet with occasional waves up to 7 feet. South of I-4, isolated showers will drift east to west but will be short lived if any push offshore. Temperatures will still be warm in the afternoons but the mornings and evenings will be fall-like.
