Former USF cornerback and Plant High School student, Mazzi Wilkins, is Tampa proud and Bucs Rookie Mini-Camp bound.
The corner went undrafted this year, but received a phone call this week inviting him to Bucs Rookie Mini-Camp, beginning next week.
Yes, the Bucs did just draft 3 defensive backs…but Wilkins said he doesn’t see this as additional pressure to preform.

Wilkins finished 2018 with 3 interceptions and 48 tackles in a Bulls uniform. One of those being that hit on UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton in this past year’s “War on I-4”.
A rather routine hit that resulted in a season ending injury for Milton. Wilkins received death threats after this game, but says this incident made him become more mentally tough.
He said, “Everybody in this world you know are not for you…you don’t worry about it. You just work on being the best person you can be.”
