Tampa Bay Lightning players react to loss to Minnesota Wild

The Tampa Bay Lightning fell to the Minnesota Wild on home ice on Thursday. The team could have clinched a playoff berth with a win but the Minnesota Wild disrupted the plans.

“You are going to be playing against good teams,” says Lightning forward Tyler Johnson in regards to the team’s remaining 14 regular season games. “Minnesota was a desperate team tonight and they played well and that was a good test for us. We need to play the same way in order to succeed.”

The Wild players are “desperate” because they are fighting to make it into the playoffs.

The Lightning players are hopeful they can return to their winning ways and clinch a playoff berth on Saturday at home against the Detroit Red Wings.
