Bucs Evans wants bigger numbers in 2018

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans knows what it takes to get ready for the season. He is in his fifth training camp, with his sights set on a fifth consecutive 1,000 receiving yard season.

But early career accomplishments are not the focus of Evans’ preparation. His 71 receptions and five touchdown catches were lower than numbers in previous seasons and Evans seeks perfection. Even though many of his catches are made in difficult game situations, he wants more yards after the catch.

News Channel 8’s Dan Lucas sat down with Evans to discuss his goals in 2018 and how the pending Jameis Winston suspension in weeks one through three has affected the offense’s work in training camp.

News Channel 8, Your Official Bucs Station, will travel with the Bucs to Nashville, TN where the team will practice with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday and Thursday. You can see their preseason game Saturday night at 8:00pm with a live pregame show beginning at 7:00pm.
