Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can watch Ryan Fitzpatrick tear it up on the field while enjoying a beer named after the beloved bearded quarterback.
On Wednesday, the St. Petersburg Brewing Company released its newest beer – the Fitzmagic Double IPA.
“We here at the brewery believe that a man that passes for four touchdowns and 400 yards in the first two games of the season deserves a beer named after him,” the brewery said in a Facebook post.
The Fitzmagic beer features Citra and Galaxy hops and has an 8.4 percent ABV.
The name of the beer plays off the nickname hyped up Bucs fans have given the quarterback following his explosive performances so far this season.
Fitzpatrick has led the Buccaneers to a 2-0 start while filling in for suspended quarterback Jameis Winston. This marks the first time the Bucs have started a season with a 2-0 record since 2010.
On Wednesday, the NFL named Fitzpatrick the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after Sunday’s win over the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. It was the second consecutive week Fitzpatrick earned the title.
The 35-year-old quarterback scored four touchdowns against the Eagles and threw for more than 400 yards. The performance came just one week after he scored four touchdowns and threw 417 yards against the New Orleans Saints in the season opener.
