TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – In a season that was certainly Pro Bowl worthy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans will indeed play in the NFL’s annual all-star game on Jan 27.
Evans was chosen as a replacement for injured Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.
The game will be Evans’ second Pro Bowl appearance.
Evans finished the 2018 season with 1.524 yards receiving, a Buccaneers franchise record. It was the third highest total in the NFL. His average yards per game (95.3) was also third best in the league.
Evans has set a career pace that few receivers have seen in NFL history, eclipsing 1,000 yards receiving in each of his first four seasons. His previous career high was two years ago (1.321). Evans was also selected to the Pro Bowl that year.
