TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are close to reaching a deal with a new defensive tackle after releasing Gerald McCoy this week.
Several reports say the Bucs are finalizing a deal with Ndamukong Suh. The veteran DT will sign a one-year deal to play in Tampa Bay, according to Ian Rapoport from the NFL Network.
Coach Bruce Arians spoke with reporters at a press briefing on Tuesday about the speculations surrounding Suh joining the Bucs.
“I can’t talk about him. He’s not on my team,” Arians said. “He is a hell of a player, so we will see.”
The Bucs released McCoy, a six-time Pro Bowler on Monday after nine seasons. Suh is a five-time Pro Bowler who most recently played for the Los Angeles Rams.
