TAMPA (WFLA) – Ndamukong Suh, one of the toughest defensive players in the NFL will be a step closer to taking the practice field after completing his team physical Friday.
The newly-signed Tampa Bay Buccaneer is known as the ultimate intimidator but won’t be cleared to practice until his physical is complete.
Suh is expected to speak with News Channel 8 after the physical Friday morning.
The nine-year veteran and five-time Pro Bowl player recently spoke about signing with the team while in France.
“I like being a part of things that you can build and be able to put them over the top. Hopefully my talent as well as all other guys and other former Nebraskans, LaVonte David we can play together and change the game there and get us to a winning situation,” Suh said.
The defensive tackle agreed to a one year deal with the Bucs worth $9.25 million but could his salary could reach $10 million with incentives.
Head coach Bruce Arians, like most of the NFL, knows what kind of intimidating persona Suh can bring.
Arians wants that energy on the team.
“I hope I’ll still see that look in his eye. I can handle the rest. That’s easy. I just want to see that look in his eye and then I’ll be happy,” said Arians.
“I just know he’s a beast and I’m happy to have a guy like that on our side,” said Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston.
Suh has had a big month, from signing with the Bucs to recently proposing to this girlfriend while in France.
