Gabrielle Shirley spoke to Scott Reynolds with PewterReport.com at One Buc Place on Thursday as the team prepares for the Falcons.
Reynolds tells News Channel 8 that Mike Evans has had his best games as a pro against the Falcons.
“He’s caught more passes for more yards and more touchdowns against Atlanta than any other team,” Reynolds said.
“We know them and they know us. We basically know what they’re going to be in and they know what we’re going to be in, playing with them the last five years, two times a year,” Evans said.
Jameis Winston will get his first start of the year in Atlanta this Sunday after sitting out the first three games because of a suspension.
Ryan Fitzpatrick started week four in Chicago but Winston came in at halftime when the Bucs were down 38-3. Winston threw for 145 yards with one touchdown in the second half.
When asked if there’s a difference with who’s in as quarterback Evans said, “it doesn’t, especially if you’re a pass catcher. Your job is to go out there and get open.”
The Bucs are 2-2 on the season while the Falcons are last in the division at 1-4.
“I think we’re both desperate. We haven’t won in three weeks. We want to win bad,” Evans said.
