TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – On Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers begin begin four weeks of workouts known as Organized Team Activities. Four players from the team’s recent rookie camp will join them.
The Bucs announced the signing of four tryout players on Monday: safety D’Cota Dixon, linebacker David Kenney, offensive Tackle Riley Mayfield and wide receiver Spencer Schnell.
On Saturday, Head Coach Bruce Arians admitted that he was already impressed with Kenney, a former Indiana player that transferred to Illinios State for the 2015 season.
Kenney was consistently in the offensive backfield, the trait that Bucs coaches are looking for from outside players in the new 3-4 defensive scheme.
“He gets to come back Tuesday,” Arians said. “When you get past the quarterback on just about every play, that catches everybody’s attention. Let’s see if he can do it against the next group.”
