At just 5 months old, Cullen Potter can’t walk yet. But that didn’t stop him from “graduating” at a hospital in Alabama.
Baby Cullen weighed a little less than 14 ounces when he was born at 22 weeks and two days. His parents were told he only had a two percent chance of survival. If he did survive, they were told he would be disabled.
Cullen now weighs 5 pounds and 11 ounces, and was just discharged from the hospital.
On Friday, the neonatal intensive care unit at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital held an adorable graduation ceremony to celebrate him going home.
One of the nurses carried baby Cullen through the hospital hallway as “The Graduation March” played in the background. His mom Molli even bought him a tiny cap and gown at Build-A-Bear to commemorate the big day.
The hospital shared video of the “ceremony” on Facebook. It has since melted the hearts of tens of thousands of people across the internet.
