BURRABOOGIE, Australia (CNN/WFLA) - Video out of Australia shows how serious the drought was in May.
And most of the outback hasn't seen rain since then.
The video, just released, was shot on May 20 near Burrabogie, in southeast Australia, by Jason Wright, co-owner of Burrabogie Livestock and Contracting.
The herd is made up of more than 1,200 cows. They're crowding around a water truck.
Wright says the cows were on a traveling stock route that's used during times of drought.
But the cross-continent route is now closed because there isn't enough water and feed for the animals.
