The latest viral challenge has surfaced online, and this time its helping raise awareness for a worthy cause.
Today, April 2, is World Autism Awareness Day and a new campaign is shining a light on the developmental disorder.
The “Sit Up for Autism Challenge” asks people to do 11 sit-ups in honor of every 11 minutes another family learns their child has autism.
Here’s how you can join the battle to raise awareness:
- Accept the challenge
- Record yourself doing 11 sit-ups anyway or anywhere you’d like
- Post your video onto social media
- Tag @situpforautismchallenge & #situpforautismchallenge on Facebook and Instagram
- Challenge three other people by tagging them in your post
Once you are challenged you have 24-hours to share your own “Sit Up for Autism Challenge” video on social media.
You can opt out of the challenge by donating $11 to the “Autism Speaks” organization HERE.
