An Indiana man is suing his parents for throwing out his pornography collection.
He says it was not an ordinary collection and was worth tens of thousands of dollars.
The man moved back into his parent’s home in October of 2016 following a divorce and he did household chores in lieu of paying rent but, he moved out just 10 months later in December 2017.
When he moved into his new place he noticed that his porn collection was missing and called the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department declaring his collection was worth about $29,000.
When confronted by his son the man’s father said in an email apparently responding: “believe it or not, one reason for why I destroyed your porn was for your own mental and emotional health. I would have done the same if I had found a kilo of crack cocaine. Someday, I hope you will understand.”
Prosecutors have declined to file charges in the past, currently, the Indiana man is seeking $86,000 in damages.
