Diving instructor saves sharks life, pulls netting from jaw

Viral News

A diving instructor had a close encounter with a shark, and may have saved its life.

The instructor was giving a diving lesson off Australia’s east coast when he spotted a grey nurse shark with plastic net in its jaws.

That’s when the diving lesson became a rescue mission.

He swam toward the shark, which is not known to be a threat to humans.

Then the Spanish diver – who has lived in Australia for 25 years – pulled on the plastic line.

He said having the net stuck in the shark’s jaws could have condemned it to a slow and painful death.

Discarded plastics cause millions of deaths to marine life every year.

The diver said he was elated to help.

Neither the diver nor his students suffered any ill effects.

Both the humans and the sharks went about their day after the rescue.
