A woman, now known as “Cornerstone Caroline,” says she’s been getting death threats after a video surfaced that shows her falsely accusing a boy of sexual assault.
In a video posted online, Teresa Klein is seen making a phone call outside of a convenience store in Brooklyn.
“I was just sexually assaulted by a child!” she said, adding that she needs police immediately.
This causes the 9-year-old boy in question and his sister to start crying.
The video was recorded by Jason Littlejohn, who lives next to the store. He says the cops never arrived after the exchange.
“She basically said I’m calling the cops on you,” Jason Littlejohn. “She didn’t say the mom or anybody else, she said I’m calling the cops on you. And that poor little boy, man, wherever he is, whoever he is, hopefully there is millions of people that definitely want to help him out.”
WABC reports Klein returned to the bodega Friday and saw surveillance video of the incident.
The video clearly shows his backpack graze her. His hands were in plain sight.
“I was wrong,” said Klein. “Young man, I don’t know your name, but I’m sorry.”
After video of the incident went viral, Klein said she’s received an overwhelming amount of phone calls and threats and fears for her safety. She also claims the boy’s mother threatened her life, and she would like to pursue charges against her.
