KINGWOOD, Texas (WFLA) – A family in Texas wants answers after video shows a contract worker hitting two Weimaraners with a wrench.
KPRC reports homeowner Mike Willcox has filed a complaint. Willcox posted video of the incident to Facebook.
The video allegedly shows a CenterPoint Energy contract worker hitting the family’s two dogs, according to KPRC.
Willcox said the worker entered the family’s backyard without permission on Marcy 23 around 9:45 a.m. That’s when the two Weimaraners noticed the man and approached him, Willcox told KPRC.
Thehomeowner said his family watched the incident from five feet away. He also said one dog, Flash, sustained a concussion and a cut below its eye. That dog also lost a tooth, Willcox said. The other dog, Shutter, needs surgery because of its injuries, according to the family.
CenterPoint told KPRC it “does not condone or tolerate abuse of animals by our employees or our contractors. We have notified the contract company and they have assured us that they will conduct a full investigation into the incident.”
