HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) - Troopers say a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on I-275 on Monday.
The crash happened around 8 a.m. on southbound I-275 near Bearss Avenue when investigators say the 24-year-old motorcyclist lost control.
According to a crash report, the motorcycle landed on the roadway and the driver landed on the outside shoulder of the road after the crash.
Troopers say a tractor-trailer also headed south then went onto the paved shoulder of the road and hit the motorcyclist.
The 24-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet identified him.
The crash temporarily shut down the southbound lanes of I-275 at I-75.
