Transportation:

  • Bus: The Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will remain in normal service until further notice. The following detours are currently in place:

    • Route 66- Sponge Docks are closed until further notice. Buses will not be serving the area and are currently staged at Huey Avenue.
    • Central Avenue Trolley- High water is currently preventing the trolley from serving areas south of Don CeSar Hotel; Gulf Blvd south of 75th and Gulf.
    • Route 23 – Due to flooding, buses will not be serving Shore Blvd or anything south of 28th Buses will travel on 28th Ave.
    • Route 15-  Due to flooding, buses will not be serving Shore Blvd or anything south of 28th Buses will travel on 28th Ave.

Road Conditions:

  • The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is closed.

Closings, Delays and Event Cancellations:

  • Stetson University College of Law will open Tuesday at noon with classes and scheduled activities. If weather conditions create individual difficulties for  students or employees, they are advised to work with their professors and supervisors. Additional updates/info at www.stetson.edu/law.
  • The following county parks remain closed until further notice due to weather conditions: Lake Seminole Park, Weedon Island Preserve, Sawgrass Lake Park, Fort De Soto Park
  • Pinellas County Schools will be OPEN on Tuesday, June 7 
  • Pinellas County Schools will be OPEN for normal operations on Tuesday, June 7. Schools will dismiss two hours early as already planned for the last day of school. All students should report to school as normal. All employees should report to their work site as normal. Safety is a priority, so if a student’s route to school is flooded or unsafe for another reason, please ask parents or legal guardians to contact their child’s school in the morning. Absences due to unsafe travel conditions will be excused.
  • Pinellas County government offices will be open Tuesday.
