Tracking Colin: Manatee County



Manatee County Emergency Management is asking local home and business owners to report property damage sustained during Tropical Storm Colin. Manatee County experienced between 1 and 3 inches of rain – a few areas saw as much as 3.75 inches of rain and gusts of wind up to 50+ miles per hour. If a property has been impacted by water intrusion, fallen tree limbs, broken windows or other damage, it could be eligible for assistance if the County become a federally declared disaster area. To report property damage from the storm, Manatee County residents can call (941) 749-3500, extension 1667. Local business owners can call Bruno Kapacinskas, Business Resource Manager for the Manatee County Neighborhood Services Department, (941) 749-3029, extension 6218.
