A 2-year-old girl has tested positive for an STD after health officials found evidence of a rape, police said.

Kansas City Police Chief Terry Zeigler said on Twitter that the toddler and other siblings were left at home with a friend of the family Friday, the following morning the child’s mother discovered injuries to the 2-year-old.

The mother took the child to Children’s Mercy Hospital where the toddler tested positive for an STD,  Zeigler said.

No one has been arrested at this time.
