TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Grab your friends, grab a bike and enjoy the ride because onbikes Winter Wonder Ride is happening today.

The 6th annual Winter Wonder Ride community bike ride and fundraiser is being held at Curtis Hixon Park from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m – with the bike ride kicking off at 4:30 p.m.

You can expect a 7 mile bike ride, tons of local food and an exclusive performance from Big Boi from the iconic 2000s band, OutKast.

Onbikes goal is to just put a smile on children’s faces this holiday season.

“A lot of these kids have been displaced from their homes whether it’s drugs, violence or abuse, whatever it may be. A lot of them are in foster care. A lot of them have no idea what a normal childhood is so if we can do anything for them to establish that,” said Julius Tobin, executive director of onbikes.

The bikes will be delivered all throughout this month to Tampa Bay area families, through Eckerd community alternatives, Metropolitan Ministries and the Tampa Police Department.

“Because every kid deserves a bike,” Tobin said.Learn more about the event and sign up for the ride here.
