Tampa woman wins $1M from scratch-off ticket

TAMPA (WFLA) — A 63-year-old Tampa woman won a $1 million prize from playing a scratch off lottery game in Temple Terrace.

The Florida Lottery said Gail Burney purchased the $20 GOLD RUSH CLASSIC ticket from Wonder Convenient, located at 84121 North 56th Street. She chose the lump-sum payment option of $710,000.

The convenience store will receive a $2,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
