Silver Alert issued for missing 79-year-old woman

HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Highlands County deputies are hoping you have seen or know any information about a missing 79-year-old woman.     

According to deputies, a Silver Alert was issued for  79-year-old Marilyn Janet Prevatt, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s.     

Deputies believe Prevatt has made it out of the state and is heading to either Indiana or New York.   

 She last left her home in Lake Placid before 9 a.m. on Thursday and was last seen at SunTrust in Sebring around 9:20 a.m.     

   

Deputies say she is driving a grey Toyota with an Indiana license plate 650CEM. Prevett’s car is packed with all her belongings and she is traveling with a small dog.  

 According to deputies, she was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt and blue jeans.
