DAVENPORT, Fla. (WFLA) - Detectives are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Polk County convenience store early Wednesday morning.
Polk County detectives say four masked men went into the Circle K on US Highway 27 in Davenport just after 1 a.m. and started demanding money. At least two of the men were armed, according to the sheriff's office.
The robbery was caught on surveillance cameras at the store. Video shows the four suspects run in and immediately spread out to different areas. At one point, one of the men brings two store clerks to the cash register area. Deputies say the two clerks were not hurt.
As the suspects ran from the store, detectives say one can be heard saying, "I've got child support to pay."
Deputies responded quickly to the store but the robbers were able to get away. They're now asking for the public's help to identify the four men.
"We hope that one of you will see this video and recognize something - perhaps their voices - about any or all of the suspects, or maybe you have other information that might be helpful," the sheriff's office wrote in a Facebook post.
