The Winter Haven Police Department released video of a man head-butting bus doors, shattering the glass. Police say the man was upset about the bus fare.

On July 18 around 11:35 a.m. the unknown man exited a bus at the Winter Haven Area Transit terminal. But, the passenger decided to travel to a different destination, police said. The driver told the man it would be another $2, and the rider “became extremely agitated,” police said.

The driver exited the bus and went into the terminal area. The passenger stayed on a bench for a time and then walked away, police said. However, four minutes later, the rider returned, head-butting the doors, police said.

In the video, the man appears to briefly knock himself out. He then runs away.

Police described the suspect as a black male. He’s about 5’9″ and has a slim build. He was wearing slip-on shoes with socks, dark green or gray shorts, and glasses. The man’s T-shirt has an “Ounces40” graphic. If you have information about the suspect, call Officer Jodi Lott at 863-401-2256.
