Local high school students participate in ‘Walkout to Vote’

High school students are among the millions who will head to the polls today.

Students at four Tampa Bay area high schools walked out of their schools at 10 a.m. to head to the polls to cast their votes.

“Walkout to Vote” is an effort organized by a group called the “Future Coalition.” The organization encourages young people to send a bold message to politicians and the country that young people are unified and demand for change.

Students at the following schools participated:
Saint Petersburg High School 
Thomas Jefferson High School
Hillsborough High School
Frank W. Springstead High School
