Getting in shape after you’ve just had a baby is difficult, but now so a lot of moms are getting a gauge for it using social media sites like Pinterest to bridge the divide into mommy workouts.

Using Pinterest for fitness motivation is working for new moms all across Tampa Bay.

“I actually started with the Body Back pin, it’s an eight week boot style camp workout,” said Christen Gray. She found the pin the Fit4Mom Pinterest board and decided to give it a try.

A year to date and Gray is down 30 lbs., but the pin also ended up leading her from ‘at home’ workouts to ones with moms out and about across Tampa Bay.

Fit4Mom has group meet ups all over the Bay area, including one News Channel 8 tagged along with at Tampa’s Westshore Plaza.

“So the moms can practice at home using Pinterest, because they’ve already seen the challenge we sent out, or we send out exercises to do at home when it’s raining, or exercises to do with baby that they can actually can include baby. Many then decide to find one of our classes and join our group workouts,” said, Fit4Mom instructor and mom, Andrea Borm.

Fit4Mom also sends out recipes and inspirational messages to keep both mom and baby on the move.
