ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — A 15-year-old boy who was wounded in a shooting outside a St. Pete gas station Thursday night has died in the hospital.

The St. Petersburg Police Department was called to a shooting in the 1500 block of 9th Avenue South, near the Jetts 900, around 9:10 p.m. Thursday and found Zy’Kiquiro Lofton wounded.

Lofton was rushed to an area hospital, where he later died.

Police said no arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
