PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — Pinellas Park police arrested a St. Petersburg man Saturday evening after they say he allegedly battered the manager after getting mad over a sushi mishap.
According to a police affidavit, Paul Mitchell, 52, entered the Hibachi Buffet restaurant and became angry after seeing that they were not serving the sushi he requested.
He then allegedly started flipping over plates of fresh sushi in the buffet line, causing $250’s worth of property damage, police said.
Police said after he flipped out, Mitchell then walked to the front of the store and started to hit the store manager’s hands while the manager tried to record the outburst.
He now faces charges for criminal mischief and simple battery.
