Students who attend Pinellas County schools may have to get up a little earlier next year.

On Tuesday night, the school board approved several changes to school start and end times for the 2019-2020 school year.

Most schools are only shifting the schedule by about five to ten minutes. But some students at other schools will see more significant changes.

Next year, the Chi Chi Rodriguez Academy in Clearwater will start at 7:35 a.m. an hour and 10 minutes earlier than this year’s start time.

Six elementary schools will shift their start and end times by half an hour. Those schools Campbell Park, Lakewood, Fairmount Park, Maximo, Melrose and Sandy Lane will have school from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
