A man who continues to defy the odds accomplished another feat in the Tampa Bay area on Friday.
Joe Kals is a paraplegic.
Friday, he climbed 10 floors at the Marriott Sand Key Hotel on Clearwater Beach.
“I feel good. I feel great because of you. All of you. I feel great. It’s incredible,” Kals said.
Kals has previously climbed the Eiffel Tower, crossed France and climbed Marriott hotels in Tampa, Miami and New York City.
All of these feats are part of his effort to bring awareness to the consequences of spinal cord injuries.
Kals’ ultimate challenge is to cross the United States from New York to Los Angeles, starting next you.
