A man pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges accusing him of killing his wife, in-laws, and brother-in-law last year.
Shelby John Nealy, also known as Shelby Svensen, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder, three counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and one theft of grand theft auto.
Nealy allegedly killed his 21-year-old wife, Jamie Ivancic whose body was found buried in a Port Richey yard.
He admitted to killing 71-year-old Richard Ivancic, his 59-year-old wife Laura Ann Ivancic and their 25-year-old son Nicholas James Ivancic in December so that they wouldn’t question Jamie’s whereabouts, investigators said. The family was found dead in their Tarpon Springs home.
Police later found Nealy in Ohio by tracking down Laura Ivancic’s stolen car. He was extradited to the Pinellas County Jail to face capital murder charges.
Nealy is due back in court in May.
