GULFPORT, Fla. (WFLA) – A Pinellas County Dollar General employee was arrested after police say he charged more than $700 on a card accidentally left behind by a customer.

Police arrested 22-year-old Jewaughn Graham on Wednesday for an incident that happened late last month.

According to an arrest affidavit, Graham was working at the Dollar General on 17th Avenue South in Gulfport on May 24. The affidavit says a woman used her debit card at the store then accidentally left it behind that night.

Police say Graham then copied the information on the victim’s card and used it to pay his cell phone bill. The arrest affidavit shows he also used the information to make a down payment and pay an application fee at an apartment complex he planned on moving to.

The total amount stolen from the victim was $693.24, the arrest affidavit says. Graham was charged with grand theft and fraudulent use of personal identification information.

Gulfport police say the victim has been reimbursed $579.95 so far.
