TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (WFLA) – Tarpon Springs police say a man and woman who were found dead inside a home Friday morning died as the result of a murder-suicide.
At 8 a.m. on Friday, the Tarpon Springs Police Department received a 911 call from a person who said that they discovered two deceased individuals inside a residence located at 507 S. Jasmine Avenue.
The person who reported this incident identified themself as a co-worker of one of the decedents and responded to the location because they had not heard from them and was checking on the co-worker’s welfare.
Officers responded to the scene and found a man and woman deceased at the location.
Detectives say officers responded to a 911 call at the home on Thursday morning. A family member had arrived at the house and found a man and woman unresponsive on some type of substance. Emergency crews responded and both refused treatment saying they were recovering from the night before.
The investigation into the deaths continues. The Pasco-Pinellas County Medical Examiner is investigating the cause and manner of the deaths.
