Clearwater police were able to rescue an American bald eagle Thursday afternoon after the bird was hit by a vehicle and injured its wing.
Wildlife rescue workers, employees from Birds In Helping Hands and Clearwater PD Officers were able to corral the bird off Court Street east of Missouri Avenue and it was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment.
