Authorities have made an arrest in a deadly road rage shooting.
David Rhoades hopes Damion Brissett stays behind bars.
“Obviously we were happy that something had been done because we were thinking for weeks, what’s going on.” he said.
Brisset is accused and shooting, Rhoades’s friend and coworker, Scott Bartolotti during a road rage incident last month along State Road 54 in Pasco County.
“We hung out on the weekends so I really miss him and we were good friends. and just a down to earth good guy,” said Rhoades.
According to the affidavit, authorities said both men were driving along SR 54 when Bartolotti rear-ended Brissett.
Authorities said that’s when Brissett got out his vehicle, approached Bartolotti’s trailblazer and shot into the driver side window.
Bartolotti was shot in the shoulder and pronounced dead.
During the incident, Brissett called 911 and claimed Bartolotti tried to run him over and that’s when he fired his weapon.
Rhoades said Bartolotti didn’t deserve this.
“He didn’t have a weapon that I know of. There should have been no reason for him getting shot so road rage has to stop,” he said.
Brissett is facing second-degree murder charges.
