A 5-year-old boy was shot in the leg after a 27-year-old St.Petersburg woman shot at a car with three other children inside on Monday.

St. Petersburg police said that Jamesha Flanning shot at the car when her ex-girlfriend came to her home to pick up some personal items with her now current girlfriend.

The shooting happened in the 1100 block of 32nd Street South.

Flanning came out of the home and fired several times at them, one of which struck the 5-year-old inside the car. The boy’s injury is not considered life-threatening, officers said.

Jamesha Flanning was charged with six counts of attempted murder.
