Peter Scolari, co-star of ‘Bosom Buddies,’ ‘Girls,’ dead at 66

(WGHP) — Peter Scolari who starred alongside Tom Hanks in the sitcom “Bosom Buddies” has passed away from an extended cancer battle, according to a TMZ report.

The 66-year-old was diagnosed with cancer two years ago but kept the diagnosis private.

Scolari was put on the map alongside Hanks in 1980 with the ABC sitcom “Bosom Buddies.” He then co-starred on “Newhart.” His most recent role was on HBO’s “Girls,” a role for which he won an Emmy.

Scolari also had roles in “Murphy Brown,” “The West Wing,” “ER” and “Ally McBeal.” He also found success in several Broadway plays and he’s survived by his wife and their four children.
