PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – A driver was seriously hurt after their vehicle collided with a school bus in Pasco County on Wednesday. The bus driver and three students suffered minor injuries.
The crash occurred in the area of Kitten Trail and Oakwood Lane in Hudson at about 7:03 a.m. Wednesday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a woman was driving northbound on Kitten Trail, when for unknown reasons, her vehicle drifted into the southbound lane and hit the bus “nearly head-on.”
Officials said the driver of the car was extricated from the vehicle rushed to the Bayonet Point Hospital as a trauma alert. The bus driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Three students also sustained minor injuries but refused to be transported.
