PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Pasco County deputies found a gator under a vehicle Wednesday afternoon.

The deputies were performing flood checks. “Gators seem to love Pasco rain,” the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Counties throughout the Tampa Bay area are working to deal with and prevent more flooding. Earlier Wednesday the National Hurricane Center upgraded Tropical Depression Nine into Tropical Storm Hermine.

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the United States Atlantic Coast from Marineland, Florida to Altamaha Sound, Georgia.

A Hurricane Watch has been issued for coastal waters from the Anclote River to Indian Pass. This means that hurricane conditions are possible within the watch area.
