The mother of a 2-year-old girl had sheer panic in her voice when she called 911 Sunday night.
“911?” the operator said.
“Yes, my daughter was outside playing with other kids and got hit by a motorcycle and they freakin’ took off. They live down the street. They’ve been drinking. I need emergency please,” said the woman, whose name was redacted on the call.
Her concern comes across loud and clear.
“Come here baby. We got to go. Oh my God!” the woman said.
The woman said her daughter, identified as Izzabella Brinson by the Florida Highway Patrol, was awake and breathing.
“No, not serious bleeding but really bad head injury,” the woman told the operator.
Troopers tell us the girl was playing along Oak Cresk Drive with other kids when she was hit.
The driver, Buddy Jay Kline, and a female passenger, yelled at the parents, then took off, troopers said.
Kline was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of a crash with injury.
“And there’s like kids playing basketball and for them to be flying down the street and seeing all these kids in the friggin’ street playing basketball,” the woman said.
A family member told News Channel 8 the girl is back home and should be okay.
Kline bonded out of jail Monday morning, records show.
