An argument between brothers in Pasco County ended with one behind bars and the other in a trauma center, deputies say.
An arrest report from the Pasco Sheriff’s Office says 74-year-old Gary King got into an argument with his brother Monday evening at a home on State Road 54 in New Port Richey.
Deputies say the argument turned physical at some point and King rammed his Hyundai Santa Fe into his brother’s vehicle as the other man was getting out. According to the arrest report, the brother was then trapped between the door and the ground.
King then reversed his SUV and accelerated forward to ram into his brother again, the arrest report says. At that point, deputies say the brother was pulled under the SUV and run over.
The brother was taken to Bayonet Hospital Trauma Center. The arrest report says he suffered bleeding on the brain and is being examined for any additional injuries.
King was arrested for aggravated battery with serious injuries. The arrest report shows his home address is in Mahopac, New York.
