Playing with LEGO bricks was a tradition Adam Smyk had with his two sons after returning from being deployed with the Navy six months at a time. So when he retired it was a no brainer for him to open a business and fill it with LEGO pieces.

“LEGOs are timeless,” Smyk said. “I love seeing parents spending quality time with their children playing LEGO, without the need for cell phones, tablets or any other technology. We also think of our customers as family, and want them to feel at home whenever they come to visit.”

Smyk, named the business Bricks and Minfigs and says it’s similar to a consignment store for all things LEGO.

It’s not just kids who enjoy putting together LEGO kits. Some of our best customers are adults who have never grown out of their love for bricks and minifigs, Smyk said.”

It’s a place where fans from all over Central Florida can purchase new sets, but I needed pieces and mini figurines to complete their creation and trade or sale items for cash or store credit.

Smyk Originally opened Bricks and Minifigs last summer in another location. He recently reopened at The Shoppes at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel. The new 4,200-square-foot location provides a larger retail space and more convenient location that is close to three of Florida’s major interstates I-75, I-275 and I-4.

“We’re so excited to be in this new location at The Shoppes at Wiregrass,” said Smyk. “Bricks and Minifigs is for every LEGO fan who’s lost a critical piece of their favorite masterpiece, or a parent who wants to trade-in those sets after their kids have grown. It’s the perfect one-stop solution.”

Bricks and Minifigs is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. –  9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 – 6 p.m. The store is located at The Shoppes at Wiregrass, 28210 Paseo Drive, Suite 150 in Wesley Chapel.
